I am a student at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. I’m hoping to major in History and possibly minor in Geography. I like to go for bike rides, read and occasionally write in my spare time.

It’s Midterm Week at my college, and I’m relieved it’s almost over and fall break is nearly here. I’m not going home for fall break, but rather I am going to visit my grandparents’ cabin in West Virginia. They don’t live there full time, but we do like to visit it for a couple weekends every year. The cabin is located near several state parks, and we’ll usually go hiking as a family in those areas. This weekend, we’re planning to go to Lost River State Park, which is located on the border with Virginia. There’s a great hike there that takes you up a mountain where you’ll arrive at a viewpoint with a swing. We might do that one, but there are some other hikes that we haven’t done already that we might check out instead. I’m really hopeful that we’ll have good weather during the trip. The last time I checked, it’s supposed to be rain on Sunday, but hopefully it will be scattered and there will be periods to do outdoor activities. Overall, I’m really excited to see my family and to have a fun-filled weekend with them.
